Diamond Realm – VR Experience, 2018. Diamond Realm is an immersive virtual reality environment created in the Unity game engine. Diamond Realm is a remediation of the performative work, Diamond Body. The environment for Diamond Realm is a 3D stage filled with living particles, floating gems, video mapping and music. The sound for Diamond Realm was created with granular synthesis originating from bowed and struck metals which were recorded through a activated cello body, with performed cello accompaniment. The sounds were mixed into independent voices which were then mapped to objects in the 3D environment.
