Gdansk
Gdansk (2013) single channel video - 1280p. Gdansk is made from macro footage of amber gems on an animation stage. The footage is duplicated and overlaid with a time delay and filtered to show only differences between the layers. Sounds of handfuls of amber gems being grabbed and tossed onto the animation stage are enlarged and time expanded. Gdansk is an early experiment in finding and capturing liminal spaces of transformation of medium characteristics.
